What are you waiting for? There is NO better time than NOW!
I have a challenge for you!
You are in the best season to make a new habit. “Why” you say? “You don’t have it all together yet?” ” You need more time to gather the tools you need to get to the point where you feel you will actually follow through?” “You haven’t created the plan and you know you will fail?” Ask yourself these three questions, and I’ll show you why it is the best time to start now…even without being where you think you need to be to start.
Where do you see yourself in 2 months?
What is the worse thing that could happen if you start now?
Who could you align with to be your supporter/encourager?
Here skinny. We all can make a gazillion excuses of why we can’t start today. Or, starting only to see we are off track in a few days. That is why it takes time to build a habit. Some habits may come easy and you see yourself celebrating in three weeks. But, lets face it. Many habits we want to create are areas we have neglected for years. Or, we have never disciplined ourselves to create such a bold habit.
Where do you see yourself in 2 months. It is proven that it takes about 66 days to create a new habit. You want to build your spiritual life? Be kinder to your family? Create a healthier lifestyle? Choose your achievement. And, start slow. Make changes that will be easy in the first week or two and build on that. The way we fall off so easily is we go in to hard and too fast. We overburden ourselves early only to beat ourselves up over it.
What is the worse thing that could happen if you start now? You didn’t create a new habit in 2 months. No worse off than where you are today, right? Except, now you have the experience to start again with better insight on what went wrong the first time. Don’t give up on your desires. Because the opposite of that question is, what is the best thing that could happen if you start now!
Who could you align with to be your supporter/encourager? It is a known fact that having accountability helps especially when we are struggling. Forming new habits isn’t easy, or everyone would be doing it. Wouldn’t it be awesome to align yourself with a gal pal and together you are each others encouragers/supporters on your journey to build a new habit? You would be celebrating two victories instead of one!
The mind of man plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps. Proverbs 16:9
Remember to take your plans to God. He is the biggest source of strength you will find. Pray over your plans and ask for His wisdom, strength, encouragement to guide you through the tough days. We are truly blessed to have the Lord on our side!
Let’s do this! Leave a comment and let me know how I can pray for you! Go get ’em, girls!
